Employee may be employed overtime according to the work requirements but within the limits provided for by the Law for the maximum working hours of overtime hours by 720 hours a year. Pursuant to Article 107 of the Law, the employer must pay for overtime at the hourly rate (based on the total pay per working hour) plus %50 of basic salary.
(Additional including allowances) This is in accordance with Article 107 of the Labor Law, And in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. (178743) dated 09/27/1440 AH and without prejudice to any more severe penalties stipulated in another system, according to Paragraph 31 of the first penalties schedule, the employer is punished with a fine of 10,000 riyals, multiplied by the multiplicity of workers when the number of working hours increases more than it stipulated. It is subject to Article (98) without assigning additional work.
